Özcan will not travel with Turkey due to injury

Salih Özcan will not travel with the Turkish national team during the international break due to swollen foot bones.

The Turkey international will not be included in his national team’s squad for their September fixtures due to swelling in his foot bones. Salih Özcan played the entire Revierderby on Saturday, as his injury occurred after the game.

Özcan suffered from a foot problem in training this summer and has already missed several games for Dortmund due to fitness issues. With Mahmoud Dahoud out until November with a shoulder injury, Emre Can could be reintroduced into the starting line-up if Özcan is not ready to return in October.
